Frequently Asked Questions
What does "unlimited technicians" mean?
Every paid plan includes unlimited technician seats. Add a technician to your crew and your bill does not change — no per-seat fee, no seat minimum. Technicians get a money-blind day view: today's stops, the assets, and the checklists, never your pricing, invoices, or renewals.
Do you hold or process my customers’ payments?
No. You invoice on your own rails and your customers pay you directly. GaugeRoute records the money — what was quoted, invoiced, and paid, in whole cents — but never holds or processes a dollar of it. The payment is between you and your customer.
What do my customers see?
A login-free compliance page in your brand: the assets at their site, the last-inspected dates, and downloadable records — the record a fire marshal or an insurer asks for. You certify the work; we keep the proof. GaugeRoute never states or implies a site’s compliance status.
How do the AI nameplate limits work?
Photograph a nameplate and GaugeRoute drafts the asset row — maker, model, dates — behind your review queue. Free includes 10 parses a month, Solo 150, Crew 500 pooled across your office seats. Every draft lands in your review queue; nothing becomes a record until you confirm it, and a failed read never counts against your quota.
Is there an annual option?
Yes — annual billing is two months free. Solo is $590 a year and Crew is $1,190 a year. Annual sets your rate for the full year.
Will my price go up later?
Prices are flat and published on this page, and the price you join at is yours. If list pricing ever changes, existing customers get at least 30 days' notice before it applies, changes never land mid-billing-period, and annual billing sets your rate for the full year.
What is founding pricing?
Join early and Solo joins at a founding rate of $49/mo ($490/yr), open to the first 100 paying businesses. It's a discount, not a different product: at 12 months you roll to the list price above, disclosed upfront, with no surprise jump and no lifetime lock. Any later change comes with at least 30 days' notice.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Export everything — sites, assets, and every record — as CSV or JSON, free, on every plan, forever. If you cancel, nothing is deleted: downgrading suspends the paid surfaces and the technician logins, and your data stays readable and exportable.
Do I need a contract or a demo to start?
No. GaugeRoute is month-to-month and self-serve, with published prices — no demo wall and no annual contract to start. Start on Free, no card, and move up when the route earns it.
